  • Hunt Store Café: The Hunt Store with its open porch and rustic trappings, quaint signs and swinging screen doors, longnecks and BBQ, will welcome you to a sense of Hunt’s historic past that is still very much alive. (1.5 mi)
  • Buddy’s BBQ Shack: up the North Fork; get there early!  Open Fri/Sat 11-2 in the summer. Cash only. (7.3 mi)

Rodeo & Dance (Seasonal)

Crider’s Rodeo & Dance: Since 1927, folks gather at Crider’s to scoot their boots to local country western bands, in an open-air dance hall, following a real Texas cowboy rodeo.  Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend. Friday night catfish – cash only! (2 mi)

Vineyards

Eight wonderful wineries and vineyards are located within 50 miles of our Riverhouse. You can visit them on your own or take part in the Texas Hill Country Wine Trail and be escorted in style.
