DIRECTIONS TO THE RIVERHOUSE FROM AUSTIN

To get to Hunt, Texas from Austin, take US-290 West to Johnson City. Note that shortly before Johnson City you need to bear right (or North) onto US-281 West/US-290. At Johnson City (past the Dairy Queen) turn left onto US-290. Continue on through Stonewall to Fredericksburg where you will take a left on to SR-16. You will go about 24 miles, arriving in Kerrville.

Continue on under I-10. Make a right at Broadway Bank (large Courthouse will be on your left) onto SR-27 West. After about 7 miles, you will arrive in Ingram; continue straight (the road name changes to Hwy 39; SR-27 goes off to the right at the fork in Ingram). You will see the Ingram Dam after about a mile on SR-39. After about 6 more miles you will arrive in Hunt (speed limit drops to 35 mph). Be sure to continue going straight at the fork in Hunt where FM 1340 goes off to the right.

The Riverhouse is 1.5 miles past The Hunt Store, on the left. Our two entrances are just past a tall natural cedar fence. A wooden sign reading “Casa del Rio” is on the right side of the road, near the second entrance. Please come to the larger house for check-in and key.

To get to Hunt, Texas from San Antonio, take I-10 West about 61 miles to Kerrville. Exit at SR-16 (Exit 508) and go left for about 2.5 miles.
