Hill Country Heaven

Every year my mom, and 2 young daughters and I take a girls getaway to Casa Del Rio. Its been years since this tradition started, and I dont see it ending anytime soon! The cabin is quaint, clean and well stocked, but the real showstopper is the property. Ms. Betty has the best location! You have the deep swimming hole for jumping and swimming, the shallow rapids for riverwalking/tubing, and 40 acres worth of property for you to explore! A lot of it is dense vegetation, but my oldest kiddo and I enjoy hiking and exploring as much as we can. The property is breathtaking... you sit high above the river so the views are ridiculous. We really enjoying unplugging and relaxing in the hammock, and watching the humming birds. So. Many. Hummingbirds. Every year we find new things to do and ways to enjoy the property differently than the last time. Ms. Betty is an absolute gem of a lady... she is so sweet and accommodating. My family and I cant wait until next summer when we will return for more fun and lifelong memories! Thanks again for sharing your piece of Hill Country Heaven, Ms. Betty!

Thank you, Leila, for your great review. It is my joy to know your family enjoys this beautiful property and to know you take advantage of what it has to offer in nature and the house from which you can see and hear the river. I look forward to your next visit.

Beautiful and Secluded River Cottage

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Betty's Casa del Rio Riverhouse. We had everything we needed for a memorable getaway to Hill Country, thanks to the amenities at the house and the river and hills all around it. The cottage was perfectly cleaned and organized, containing toys for the kids and every kitchen gadget we could have needed. Outside, thanks to the tubes/ canoes and even the BBQ and fire pit, we were always moving and entertained by the natural beauty. Betty was a gracious host, answering questions and ensuring we had everything we needed at the start of our visit. We hope this was the first trip of many back to Casa del Rio!

Fantastic place

This place is wonderful. If you have ever had any doubts about renting this type of property then this place will erase those doubts for sure. This cabin is great and the location is absolutely gorgeous. There is so much to do if you choose or you can just relax and enjoy the peacefulness of the area and the river. You can enjoy the sound of the water standing the cabin and from the fire pit.
What makes this place even more of a joy is the owner, Betty. She is one of the nicest and most accommodating people we have ever met. After knowing her for 5 minutes you can tell you've made a new friend. She will greet you with a warm smile, great attitude, knowledge of the area, and help you with anything you need during your stay. If you stay here, you will be back.

Thank you Betty. We love your place.

Peace and Tranquilty

We have been coming to Casa Del Rio for several years as a way to "reset" from the hectic pace life can often take. Casa Del Rio is the perfect place to do this - in the unspoiled setting of the Texas Hill Country and the Guadalupe River as the back drop. Betty is gracious and accommodating host between the easy access to the river, the spacious property - where you can do anything from taking a refreshing swim in the river to canoeing, or just looking out at the beautiful landscape - Betty is always ready to make your stay all you would like it to be. This is a great place to enjoy the Texas Hill Country and all it has to offer and would recommend to anyone looking for a good getaway.

Beautiful, peaceful place

We had a wonderful couple of days at Casa del Rio. Such a beautiful place. The kids (&the adults) loved tubing down the river right behind the house. We had a bbq and ate outside, watched the French Open tennis and had such a relaxing time. We would love to return.

Georgeous property

Betty was so sweet! Loved the property. Was perfect for us with 2 adults and 3 kids. The kids played in the water and used Betty’s inner tubes to float down the river to the little swim hole by the main house. We were a little concerned with the house being right next to the main house but it was no issue. Private yard area for fire pit and s’mores and when you’re down by the river you don’t feel like you’d bother the host. Provided canoes where perfect and very pretty ride upstream. Kitchen was stocked with anything you’d need. Beds comfy. Great stay- we’ll be back!!

Secluded Oasis

You know when you find that perfect place and you don't want anyone else to know? The Casa de Rio Riverhouse is mine. This wonderful cabin sits high over the Guadalupe river. But when it gets too relaxing just sitting and watching and listening to the water flow amongst the towering cypress trees you can take the steps down to the patio next to the river and watch the kids jump into the river pool and enjoy the cool water. Or your can walk along the 400 foot of waterfront to a small dock and watch your kids and yourselves tube down the river. If you really want to go adventure, launch the canoes and paddle up to the falls. You know across the river is a big old abandon tv tower that you really have to look hard to spot. Make it an hiking adventure and hike up to it and see what's over the ridge, and view the valley.
I watched my youngest kid catch his first fish there. YES he was excited. If you get a little tired in the evening, start a fire in the fire ring and listen to the river on one side and fire crackle of the other and just take in the beauty. We've returned to this oasis many times. You won't find a nicer hosts in all of Texas than Ms. Betty and Ken!

Beautiful Property

We love Casa Del Rio Riverhouse! We've stayed here the past two years in a row, and just booked for a third year. Betty is a delight, and goes the extra mile to ensure her guests have everything they need. It's so peaceful spending our days fishing, kayaking, floating, hiking, and catching fireflies in the evening. It's the perfect summer getaway. Thank you, Betty!

I WANT TO KEEP THIS PLACE ALL TO MYSELF

I want to keep this place all to myself!

DO you ever find one of those places that you want to keep as a secret. This is one. Absolutely beautiful and tranquil with the sound of the river a few feet away. Watch the kids catch fireflies and swim in the river, take the canoe and paddle upstream to the rapids. Completely relax and appreciate the hospitality of a gracious host. I hate telling you about Casa del Rio because it is so cozy and comforable
